No, I did not snowshoe over a cliff...

I am still here. I didn't snowshoe off the face of the earth. I haven't written lately, because after -18 temperatures I've found myself to be quite crabby. No sense sharing that. Even the rise in temperature has not improved my disposition. I'm working on it. These images did cheer me a bit.

I'd give anything to see those colors in the garden. Unfortunately, that will be awhile...

I did see this little guy buzzing around, so maybe there are happier days ahead. I have appreciated visiting happier more hopeful blogs. Thank you for the inspiration. I will keep thinking spring.

A young girl was walking along a beach which thousands of starfish had washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement. She was doing this for some time when a man approached and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” The girl was crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled back into the ocean. She looked up at the man and replied, "I made a diffence to that one." Soon the man and the other people on the beach helped her. All of the starfish were saved.
