Great photo! And you are still in snow too! I just love your blog header.. it must be so peaceful there in the woods.. you have created a beautiful retreat! All you need is a small flock of hens to complete the picture! :) You asked how many we have. Currently we have 3 hens that are 6 years old. We started with 8 and the coop we have housed all of them very comfortably. It gets to freezing and below often in New England but the breeds we chose are hardy to it. Auracana and Wyandotte do very well and are friendly! We also had Buff Orpingtons and Rhode Island Reds but they didn't live as long. Thanks for your comment on the Cottage Hens!
