Today was a beautiful day for a walk so, snowshoes in hand, out the door Ella and I went. We haven't had the most wonderful walking weather on the weekends and Ella was ready for a winter wander.
The only problem was we have had a lot of snow. I don't think this was quite what Ella had hoped for. She huffed.
Poor Ella also puffed.
Of course, the return trip was much easier and Ella couldn't wait to get back so she could melt off the snow by the fire and take a nap. She couldn't understand why I was taking forever.
We did enjoy our winter wandering despite the work.
Looks like a lot of fun, we barely have a cover of snow.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Ella! I have two Shih Tzu's that simply disappear in the deep snow and hop and hop to get out. And then they come in with snowballs all under their bellies and legs. Ella looks like she's enjoying the rest by the fire.

ReplyDeleteRipley can completely relate to Ella....but remember I have Little Bruno to take care of as well. We wanted to take quilt photos outside today. But Bruno decided it was too cold. Ripley and I took photos close to home where Bruno could watch from the window. I don't mind the snow-- it's the cold temps that wears me down. Hoping for warmer temps tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteIt is hard work in the deep snow. I'm keeping my old boy (dog) on road walks for now as the snow is too much for him.
