Golly Gee Greenhouse...

There they are! Two boxes full of parts!  We started the project two Saturdays ago.  Day one was assembling the greenhouse in the garage, so the wind wouldn't blow it away.  Day two was leveling a spot and putting the greenhouse on top.  Day two didn't happen as I ended up going home for my Grandmother's funeral.  I will miss her greatly.

On a positive note, my husband and I did not get a divorce after assembling the greenhouse.    Sometimes such things can get stressful.  We managed quite well, especially since the directions were only drawings - no words.

Outside frame and some glass panels.  No, I did not dress to match the tractor.  Yes, Dad I am wearing that hat:)  Not only that, I have posted pictures of me in public with it on.

I don't know when I will get to show you the finished project, as it snowed last weekend and we are supposed to get 4 inches of rain between now and Friday.  We shall see.  I'm closer than I was at Christmas!

Yes, Ella helped.  As you can see she let us use her pine cone whenever we needed it.

  1. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. My condolences on your loss.

That greenhouse will be a sweet space for seed starting when you get it finished and set in place.

  3. I love your hat. That is some big project you are trying to put together I am not very patient with things that come in boxes. I do enjoy power tools though.

  4. Oh I am jealous, what a large green house! Love it! You are going to enjoy it so much, and it will be fun to see what you fill it up with next year! The rain and snow has to end sometime soon, I'll be thinking good thoughts for you. We are actually having sun, it's shocking. Hey, I put up the netting and slug bait on the veggie garden, something seemed to have worked, things are growing :)

  5. I'm so jealous! I've looked at greenhouses at every Flower Show I've attended in Seattle over the last 10 years. Maybe in the next house, I'll construct one--you're my inspiration. XOXO

  6. Such a nice big greenhouse. Something I need in the winter. Would you mind telling me what brand it is? I might consider it if you think my husband and I won't divorce over it either. :-)

Hope your weather clears up, we aren't too far from Jenni and we are actually having sun too.
