Crystals for Christmas...

We got some snow, so I thought I'd go snowshoeing with Ella.  Everything was crystallized. It was beautiful.  A wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

I tried to take this with our Christmas lights on, but half blew into the gutter and are covered in snow.  The other half shorted out.  Drat.  Guess that is a sign that Christmas is over.

  1. Those crystals are so beautiful! We don't ever see anything like that around here. Hope your Christmas was a good one!

  2. Merry Christmas! Great shots. That closeup of the pine cone makes me miss the Rockies and the very different evergreens than what we have here in the Ozark Plateau. My brother and his wife live just beyond Terry Peak, and the phone photos he sent look like they've gotten even more snow up there.

  3. I am waiting to get slammed, it was 51 yesterday. It is green all around, I could have made a salad from broadleafs. Stopped at the store and bought a nice mix instead. Liked the 2nd shot real well, but could feel that cold breeze on my cheeks on all . Old man winter is blowing in this morning, my chimes are ringing strong.

  5. Beautiful! Just a little snow here, but more on the way and then COLD. Does Ella like the deeps snow? That's hard work galloping through the deep snow.

  6. I love snow and your images take my breath away!! I so enjoy a good snow, dinner in the crock pot and a movie on t.v.!!

I also read about your homemade projects, that was a fun read!! I made sugar foot scrub, felted soap and lots of hats. Handmade gifts, from the heart, are always best!!
