I have very bad luck with tulips. One year they are great, the next they are gone. This year my red/yellow bed was stellar. I decided to capture the moment, since it probably won't look that good again. I have taken everything I've learned from other blogs, so hold on for an in depth tour of the red/yellow bed.
I took photos in the morning.
I took photos in the afternoon.
I took photos from up high.
I took them from way down low.
I looked at them crooked.
I looked at them straight.
In the end it didn't matter the angle, they all looked great.
I'm kind of like old mother squirrel. Tired out after all of that picture taking.
A few of my favorite flowers. Looks like summer is around the corner, dear friend. XOXO
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I love this humourous post! Your rhyme reminds me of Dr Seuss and your tulips are just gorgeous! And set off so nicely by the daffodils. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI love your Tulip garden I have no luck with tulips and it is annoying because they grow wild here.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Squirrel so cute, best view in the garden:)
Well, I think your tulips look beautiful. I have the same thing happen too. You know I wonder, my Mom was so funny about her bulbs, I always thought it was because we live in California, but after her bulbs died back and were brown and crunchy she would dig them all up, then put them in the freezer. There they would stay until she replanted them with bulb food in the hole in October.
ReplyDeleteThen in the spring they would be glorious.
I have never had the time or patience but I think of that often.
Beautiful! And, I love your greenhouse!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. I especially like the lazy squirrel. B
