so now what?

Ok, I need help. I have culled all photos from the on-line blog tied photo album I can possibly cull. My free Picasa photo album is full.  No more free storage.  Now I know I am cheap, frugal, cheap, whatever you want to call it, yet I am willing to pay $2.49 a month for more photo storage to support my blogging habit.  I am not willing to pad Google's Wallet (that is what they call it) with my credit card number and let them just draw out moola as they see fit.  I hate direct deposit, but I hate direct withdrawl even more.  I prefer to let them pry their fee from my hand.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Is there another company that is cheap control freak user friendly?  Will Google actually let me control their ability to invade my credit card?  I can't get past putting my credit card number in there.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  1. Well if someone gives you a good idea, I would be interested. It makes me mad every single month when I receive my statement for 2 dollars and 49 cents. Am I cheap I don't think so but I feel ripped off anyway. I hope you find out a answer or a good get around.

  3. Oh no! I guess I haven't reached my Picasa limit yet, but I would think it would be coming soon. Flickr is free but has limitations. I think Shutterfly gives a lot of free space and their photo development is cheap!!!

  4. I know it is a bit of lateral thinking but create a new blog Bees Birds Berries and Blooms 2 - so that you will get the photo quota back again and then link the two blogs - just a thought

  5. Oh I have not reached it yet and was under the impression it was only $5 a year I guess I was given wrong advice. I hope someone gives you an answer because I know my limit is looming.
I have heard of others starting another blog and linking back to their old one on Google. A bunch of other bloggers did that you just have to make sure you link back to your old blog. You would have to change the name (Blog Title); something I would really not want to change in my case my title is my name:) People will find you and join again with the new link showing on your old blog.
Hope this helps if you figure something better out email me my email address is on my profile. Good Luck.B

  9. Do you resize your photos before uploading I store hundreds of photos in Picasa and have only used 27 MB (2.68%) of my free 1024 MB.

I don't upload my photos directly as that would mean manually resizing all that I want to use on the blog so I have downloaded Picasa3 free from http://picasa.google.co.uk/. This trawls your computer and stores any photo that it can find. You can them edit, create collages and upload photos to your web album. Before it uploads them it resizes them to the free storage size (I think you have to do this in your settings first)

  10. I've just checked out the Picasa free limit here http://support.google.com/picasa/bin/answer.py?hl=en-GB&answer=1224181 and if you upgrade to Google+ you can upload larger file sizes free.
