Duck, Duck, Goose...

Not much going on here. It has been warm. We stopped at Canyon Lake and enjoyed the ducks and geese.

We have some snow, but it is melting fast. It comes and goes. We had a pretty sunny weekend.

It was a great sunset on Friday. It has been a while since we have had a pretty sunrise or sunset. I just found out that I will be without an oven for another month. I can't say that is making me happy.

I'm on one month without my oven. How long have you gone without a kitchen appliance that is necessary?

A young girl was walking along a beach which thousands of starfish had washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement. She was doing this for some time when a man approached and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” The girl was crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled back into the ocean. She looked up at the man and replied, "I made a diffence to that one." Soon the man and the other people on the beach helped her. All of the starfish were saved.
