Snake in the grass...

I saw this little snake in the grass today.   I was actually quite excited as I really appreciate snakes.

Life is pretty amazing if you look around.   We saw this beauty at work.  Everyone was careful and gave him plenty of space.
I walked around Spearfish on Wednesday while my husband was at the doctor's office.

I needed some distraction as my job has been extremely stressful.  My only solace is we have been on the ropes before and managed to keep going. Everyone day is a different battle.  Thirty one years has taught me this too will pass, just like a kidney stone. Slow and painfully.

What has distracted you lately?  Was it a pleasant or unpleasant distraction?

  2. What a beautiful walk. You were able to get excellent pictures. I love the last one with the deer peeking. Oh, goodness, so many things will get me off base. I am really scattered brained right now. :)

  3. You know you caught that deer munching on a garden. The gardens are lovely.
I do not appreciate snakes at all! I am so afraid of them not sure why as we have no poisonous snakes here in NH.

  4. Lovely flowers on that walk. I wondered whether your Job Corps was being axed. They've done it here in NH.

    1. They kept the Forest Service ones open. There are only 24 of us. I had students and parents calling me begging to transfer and they won't allow it. Who knows how long we can hang on.
