Home

After a very long month, we had a quiet Christmas at home.  We just settled in and watched the blizzard.  It was nice not worrying about driving on bad roads.
I took Ella snowshoeing, before the winds picked up.
She was super happy to get out and run after being at the kennel.
The blizzard started out quietly, but when the winds picked up it got pretty nasty.
The deer got their Christmas meal.
The bird feeders were empty when we got home.  I filled them and within 4 minutes the birds came in droves.
This month was difficult, but made easier by family and friends.  I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Sat out watching birds all afternoon. A slight recovery from the holidays. Making a Dark chocolate cake with dates, pecans and dark chocolate chips on top.

  3. And you as well. I hear you about driving on bad roads. Tomorrow we are back at it. Keep safe and warm and scratches to Ella.

  4. It's always nice to be tucked up warm inside when it is nasty outside. The birds have quite a tough time of it when the snow is thick don't they?

I am glad you were home now and you got to watch the blizzard. What a ton of snow! The deer looks wonderful though. Ella looks so happy.

  10. Bonnie, It's hard to say how much snow we got (7-9 inches) the prairie has tall grass poking through and we have drifts over my head. We continue to dig out. The wind went down today and it got in the mid 20's. Sounds like the wind will be back in force Wednesday and Thursday.
We are so lucky that we kept our electricity through the entire ordeal.
