So maybe I was a bit premature with the whole spring is close theory. We have averaged about 3-6 inches of snow almost every day since. I'm afraid to say I haven't done anything very inspiring while housebound. I did make a little ironing board for my quilting corner.
I have been doing a lot of snowshoeing. It does make me feel better to get out and seeing something pretty.
We had a heavy frost. I tried hard to capture the individual flakes.
Home again home again jiggety jog. I was in a good mood after my weekend jaunt, until I had to shovel for the second time that day. Since the snowshoeing gives me a different perspective on winter, I thought I'd share a different perspective of our cabin in the woods. Hope you are all holding tough and finding something to keep you sane this long winter.
Snowshoeing gives me a different perspective on winter too. Most of our snow melted so I haven't been SSing. Love the frost crystals and the views of your forested land.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos . Yes I find getting out there with camera in hand makes me appreciate winter just that much more as every season has it's beauty . I find it invigorating when I get back home from photo walk with my Miggs in the crisp cold air and if the sun is out even better ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good week !
ReplyDeleteI have never been snowshoeing. I think I would like it as I am a walker and would enjoy taking pictures. Your snowy tree pictures are neat, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteCold and snowy on the prairie this morning.
I never snowshoed, sounds interesting. Lovely photos from your trek. Have a wonderful week. Jen
ReplyDeleteGreat captures. I guess if we have to live in it, we need to find ways to enjoy it. I laugh when snow is done of thinking I should have played in it more.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos though it looks too chilly for me! I can understand how snowshoeing would be a great way to experience the outdoors, though.
ReplyDeleteI just swore off Winter ~ but I am enjoying these great shots ! I think at this point everyones blogs are what's keeping me sane between farm chores :)) Thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the frost crystals. So delicate....;)
ReplyDeleteWe never did snowshoe this year. There weren't many days it was possible. It is fun though, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting! I'm hanging in there--but can hardly wait for spring. It's been a long winter.
ReplyDeleteYou have stamina dear friend! I don't think I'd last in these kind of winters...gotten soft in my old age:-D Spring will come--I'd bet on it! XOXO
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are still active. I'm getting my blog going again soon. Just have to figure out how to post pictures again. LOL. I love that you have added pictures of the snow to your header. I had a 'spring in the air' feeling a few weeks ago, but it's gone again. We're in the minus twenties again. Spring will come though!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Diane
I'm with you on the outdoor activities, if we've got the snow, we might as well put it to use, right? It always clears my mind when I'm outside for an hour or so.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are stunning, I've never seen such beautiful images!
